Let me tell you a story of a couple who was going Let me tell you a story of a couple who was going on a dream vacation. They saved up. They planned and planned with excitement for months. Researched and prebooked excursions and were celebrating life and getting away from the madness that has been the last two years. They take an Uber to the airport at 630am, well because the lines were going to be long. They check into their ticket counter and instantly are told “we are so sorry your flight to this destination has been cancelled, there are no other flights today and we are not sure when they will resume.” They immediately call at 7am their TRAVEL AGENT, who has to break the news after contacting her sources that the destination’s airport is closed today due to staffing issues. Their 10:50 flight is no longer happening, their dream vacation is gone, their dates aren’t flexible as they took time off and this was it. Within NINETY, read that again, NINETY minutes their TRAVEL AGENT has them cancelled for their original trip and REBOOKED on a 12:33pm flight to Los Cabos Mexico. Now I dare you to find me a store like this from a .com site, an app, or a discount website. You CAN’T! The lesson here isn’t the issue at the airport of an island, the lesson is things happen. Nothing will ever be perfect but when you stand in that line at the airport for your next trip, doesn’t it make sense to have comfort in knowing a TRAVEL AGENT has your back, not an 800 number.
